The Extinction
The journal I found,
Dated to twenty nineteen.
When the humans were bound,
To fight the Covid-19.
The virus that broke,
Their entire civilization.
The virus with which they coped,
And had no explanation.
A darkness they lived in,
The sun wouldn't shine.
The aggression they were filled with,
As they lived in quarantine.
The human civilization
Was helpless and alone.
That great civilization
Is now a bygone.
Dated to twenty nineteen.
When the humans were bound,
To fight the Covid-19.
The virus that broke,
Their entire civilization.
The virus with which they coped,
And had no explanation.
A darkness they lived in,
The sun wouldn't shine.
The aggression they were filled with,
As they lived in quarantine.
The human civilization
Was helpless and alone.
That great civilization
Is now a bygone.
