The Universe
What is my universe?
A question I was asked.
Can I cover it in a verse?
Or is my perception of it masked?
Is it planets and stars, gases and it's augments,
Or is it down right intangible?
Is it's composition defined by the heavenly elements,
Or is it even understandable?
Can our minds handle it's infinity,
The power that it holds,
Can we make it our affinity,
I think as the question unfolds.
Is it a body which governs it all,
A power higher than the Almighty,
Is it the body that shall call,
The Armageddon and the mighty.
Is there love and joy,
Or only hate and suffering,
Is it like a comforting corduroy,
Or is it a coat of needle and pin;
Its perception is personal,
You see it as you want,
It can be tangible or intangible,
But it's beauty shall enchant.
So what is my universe?
A question I often ask.
Is it a boon or a curse?
Or is it someone's mere mask?
